2. If you are losing on a regular basis, there is a chance that you may begin to play more cautiously. While this may sound like a good idea, it usually ends up back firing. When you change the way that you play, and act more cautiously during each hand, you are not doing what is best for your chances of success. In other words, just because you are on a losing streak does not mean that you need to shy away from what has worked in the past.

3. Believe it or not, losing has forced many poker players into early retirement. Just like every casino game, poker is always fun and exciting when you are winning. But when you are losing money and getting destroyed by the competition it is easy to hang it up. Before you quit make sure that you realize what you are doing. Poker is a game of luck, and you can quickly find yourself winning once again if you stick it out.

As you can see, losing can affect your ability to be a good poker player. If you are mentally tough and willing to learn from every loss, you will be better off in the long run.
